is what I see, the register looks in good used shape, no cracks or breaks, glass is good, appears to be complete but for a lock, several screws and something that was fastened to the underside of the hinged lid up near the top (a counter ?). My research has led me to believe that this register was made in 1906, which coincidentally is about when Harvard, Idaho came in to existence. The paper tag is under the drawer and the numbers match, unfortunately the tag does not say who it was sold to, it does state who sold it, "L.W. "National Dayton, Ohio U.S.A." is embossed on the back, it is a "Model 50 1/4" serial number "525360", it is made of non-magnetic metal, I assume brass. Fresh out of an old building in an old town, maybe out of a saloon from somew, this is the condition it was in 20 years ago when he got it, he did not fool with it (he was going to someday open a bar and have it for decor), and neither have I. It is a cool looking old cash register, nice detail. The guy that I got this from said that he got it out of an old shed in Harvard, Idaho 20 years ago, the dude that he was buying it from said that it had been in a bar up t, anybodys guess but it sounds good (I can't really imagine naming your candy store or barber shop "The Club" but maybe ?).
